Troncones, "The Blue House". Color inspired by Frida Kahlo, or perhaps the color of the robes of the Virgen of Guadalupe..... in any event stunning and cool.
I fell in love with Troncones years ago. I always wanted a little beach getaway. Now I have La Casa Azul/The Blue House. I am happy to share this joyful creation with you.
One of the reasons I chose Troncones is that it is one of the very best walking beaches in the Pacific Coast. From The Blue House it is a quick walk to the beach. The location makes morning walks ideal, you walk into the sunrise and return home with the sun at your back. Also an easy walk to sunset cocktails.
I like to be 10 or 20 years ahead of the crowds. I enjoy a place when it is still small and intimate enough and yet has the things I need. Troncones has it all. Great restaurants, bakery, bars, swimming, surfing, guided tours. We also boast a wonderful weekly ORGANIC market. There are well marked hiking and biking trails (rental bikes in the village). We have the BEST recycling program on the coast.
In Troncones everything is easy and very laid back. If you need a busy day exploring the charming Zihuatenejo, it is only 20 minutes away. Golfing or tennis available in Ixtapa.

I have restored an old Colonial Mansion into a small B & B called Hotel Casa Encantada located 3 hours away in Patzcuaro, the Magical Town. Patzcuaro was founded 500 years ago and is historically preserved. There you will find a wealth of things to do from Pyramids to centuries old traditional Pueblos almost untouched by the 21st Century.
I can help with longer stays in my apartments "Casitas Patzcuaro". To me a GREAT vacation is to fly into one area and out of the other.
Combine a visit to the ocean with a trip to the central highlands.
